This application lets you translate words, phrases and entire texts in a fast and easy manner. It can translate words from any opened application, may it be a browser or a document editor. Moving your mouse cursor over that word is enough to view a translation of the word in the language of your choice.

Compared to other translation tools, it supports a rather small number of languages: English, German, French, Russian, Italian, Ukrainian, Hebrew and Spanish. On the other hand, it is indeed one of the easiest to use and handiest of its kind. I also like about it that it offers additional features and options such as the support for voice pronunciation of the words.

Furthermore, there’s a handy dictionary feature that doesn’t only translate words, but provides with handy explanations for them. Additional dictionaries can be downloaded and installed, including technical ones.

In conclusion, TranslateIt! looks like a decent choice if you need a handy translation tool focused mainly on straightforwardness and ease of use.
